Jaguar XK 140 OTS 1956
This 1956 Jaguar XK140 OTS (Open two-seater) is not a show car. This XK Roadster is a seriously well maintained & prepared historic rally car ready for the coming season.
We have sourced the car from an avid Belgian rally driver who has driven since 1992.
Since the car was always driven during these years it has been extremely well maintained at all times. This explains its great overall technical condition. Under carriage and body are absolutely rust free. The 3.4, 6-cylinder engine was fully revised some years ago & runs beautiful. The manual gearbox shifts perfect. Brake systems where recently renewed so they ensure the right stopping power. All electrical systems are in full working order. This XK140SE has presentable paint and a very nice full leather interior. And again, everything performs as can be expected from a well-maintained car. The soft top closes nicely for the hopefully rare rainy days. The original knock off wire wheels completes the nostalgic picture. The XK140SE was the top product from Jaguar between 1954 & 1957 until its successor the came on the market. In total 3349 Roadsters where produced. It has always been the most popular of all the XK models & the fastest production model of that time.
This example is the most nimble and best performing XK I have driven so far. Every time I drive this car, I cannot get the grin of my face.
In short, if you are looking for a concours restored example to show off at a concours d ’elegance this is not the car for you. But if you are looking for a super performing, strong and honest XK140 which is ready for the open road I strongly advise you to give us a call.
